International Print Exchange 2014
14th October to 10th November 2014 
This exhibition celebrates their 6th exchange, showcasing the prints received this year produced by 86 printmakers from all over the world! 

The IPE was founded by and is dedicated to David Michael Johnson. In 2009, David sent out our original call for interest to printmakers from all over the world on 28 February 2009, with the hopes that a few would be interested in a small studio based in the United Kingdom organising such an event. Within just 24 hours he received over 400 positive emails from national and international printmakers. Such a response surpassed even their expectations and prompted the beginning of our first International Print Exchange in 2009.
David was diagnosed with terminal cancer shortly after our IPE 2009 was completed, and after a precious few months with his family around him, he sadly passed away on 4 June 2010. Even though David is no longer with us, they have continued his legacy and every year they dedicate each exchange to his memory.

This year they have received 86 print editions from printmakers all over the world. To coincide with this exhibition they have produced a publication featuring all prints that took part in IPE 2014. This book, along with each print that took part this year will be available to view and purchase throughout the duration of this exhibition.


This exhibition will be in the Banks Mill Studios (foyer), 71 Bridge Street, Derby, DE1 3LB and will be open to the public:
