I went for a walk round Derby Cathedral last week with the baby - something to do and she loved the stained glass windows and wrought iron work. I picked up a leaflet, a sort of 'what's on' this summer and here are some of the details:
Exhibition in August: 'Let the Winds Blow' Oils by Colin Halliday, The sweep of moorland under the open sky. On view in the Sir Richard Morris Lounge, Cathedral Centre f, from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday. ( I have yet to find the Cathedral Centre!).
Lunchtime Walks with Richard Felix
Thursdays in August and September from 12 noon to 12.45pm.
Meet outside Derby Cathedral. Tickets £6 available in advance from the Cathedral Quarter BID Office (Tel: 01332 419053) or on the day (no idea where the BID office is, must have a further look!).
Cathedral Cafe is located opposite the Cathedral's main entrance, the Cathedral Cafe provides a relaxing space in which to enjoy a refreshment break with a treat from the mouth-watering menu.
The Cathedral Bookshop: Also opposite the Cathedral, selling a wide range of books and gifts.
