Image result for plan to build on kedleston estate
Message from KedlestonVoice: Please visit our web page and read our latest response to Catesby's Estates latest proposals, which includes our response to the proposed changes to Kedleston Road, Birchover Way, Markeaton Lane and the University through traffic signalisation. Residents locally already know and understand the congestion seen during work rush hours and the school runs. Just imagine how much more this congestion will be with signalisation at these various pinch points. Allestree and surrounding areas will become a no go area as people try and outrun the traffic.
We are relying on you our supporters in addition to liking this page to consider donating if you havent already done so to the cost of engaging a barrister, we are at a important crossroads with our campaign, unfortunately, barristers are not a cheap option, we are presently in discussions with various chambers, our specialist committee will be making the decision soon. Should you wish to support us you can donate via our website info@kedleston voice.com Remember every little will help

Currently, Amber Valley Borough Council is consolidating resident objections from their consultation period. During this process, they will come to a decision of whether or not the Kedleston building sites are to be included in their Core Strategy of housing supply.

Catesby Estates have also submitted their planning application for the Kedleston Road site to : Erect up to 400 dwellings (use class C3) convenience store (use class A1) with associated access, earthworks, and other ancillary and enabling works. All other matters (appearance, landscaping, layout and scale) reserved. This is a departure from the Development Plan.

The consultation period for the planing application ended on 21st December 2014 and now AVBC will consider all evidence before they make a decision.

With the support of residents, Kedleston Voice hand delivered over 1,300 written objections to the council in response to the planning application. It is estimated a further 500 objections would have been submitted online.

We are now in the next phase of our fight. Updates to follow.
